This two day conference will bring together Iowans of all stripes for a common cause: the protection of our outdoor spaces. Whether it be for preservation, sports or pleasure, Iowa's outdoors are a part of our heritage and need to be protected against development.

When: Friday, September 28th & Saturday, September 29th
Where: Community Choice Credit Union Convention Center at Veterans Memorial in Des Moines, IA.

1000 Acts of Conservation


One of our partners, Iowa's Water & Land Legacy is seeking submissions for "1000 Acts of Conservation" to be documented on a website hosted by Iowa's Water & Land Legacy prior to the event. We are asking for:

  • Photos
  • Video
  • Stories
  • Anectdotes
These items should document conservation activities, events, etc. For those interested, you can also visit our Pinterest board and "pin" images of their events. We are currently in the process of hosting items from all 99 of Iowa's County Conservation Boards.
